RESCHEDULED CONCERTS: SWR SYMPHONIEORCHESTER

„He and the orchestra are a single being.‟ (Stuttgarter Zeitung, 19. Januar 2018)

Since Teodor Currentzis was named Principal Conductor of the SWR Symphonieorchesters in 2018, his goal has been to help this young orchestra achieve a unique artistic identity with moving interpretations and an innovative outreach program. In February 2020, Currentzis and the orchestra will perform together for the first time in the Berlin Philharmonie. The concert was originally scheduled for September 2019, but unfortunately had to be postponed. The program will include Tod und Verklärung by Richard Strauss as well as Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 1.
