UPCOMING PROJECTS
After the outstanding concert in January, the Chamber Orchestra of Europe (COE) will return to the Berlin Philharmonic for its second performance in the series In memoriam Claudio Abbado in March. As an Orchestra in Residence, the COE is then a guest at the Klarafestival.
- With René Jacobs, the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra will travel to Asia and Bahrain in early April to present semi-staged performances of Don Giovanni.
- Under the direction of Teodor Currentzis, the musicAeterna Chorus and Orchestra of Perm Opera will perform Verdi’s legendary Requiem throughout Europe, including the venue of its premiere in Milan.
- Two more epochal works of European music history are on the spring program: Monteverdi’s Il Ritorno di Ulisse with Fabio Biondi and Europa Galante in the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and Haydn’s »The Creation« that will be performed by the Haydn specialist Giovanni Antonini and Il Giardino Armonico.
