At the London International Festival of Early Music (LIFEM) 2026, Phantasm will once again join forces with lutenist Elizabeth Kenny to present their acclaimed interpretation of Lachrimae, or Seven Tears in the anniversary year of John Dowland. Lachrimae embodies the Renaissance art of transforming melancholy into music. The collection comprises intricate dances for viols and lute, unfolding a poignant musical kaleidoscope of sublime sorrow and melancholy, repeatedly illuminated by moments of intimate joy and lightness.
