The Galilee Chamber Orchestra, founded by the Polyphony Education Association, is the first professional orchestra in Israel consisting of Arab and Jewish musicians. Under the direction of conductor and pianist Saleem Abboud Ashkar, the orchestra brings together talented young musicians with leading members of Israeli orchestras to offer its audience a fresh sound and unique energy without compromising on quality. The orchestra performs regularly in Israel and has completed successful tours throughout Europe and America, including performances at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York, Corner Hall in Toronto, Konzerthaus Berlin, Christuskirche Hannover, Osnabrücker Musikfestival, and Rheingau Festival. It has also collaborated with world-renowned musicians such as violinist Joshua Bell, cellist Lynn Harrell, and pianist András Schiff.
