Collegium Vocale Gent, founded in 1970 by Philippe Herreweghe, revolutionized baroque vocal music by embracing new performance practices. MESSIAH
The premiere of Messiah brought Handel a triumph in Dublin during a difficult period, while audiences in London initially reacted with restraint — and proved remarkably mistaken in their judgment. Benjamin Bayl conducts the Finnish Baroque Orchestra (FiBO) and Collegium Vocale Gent in their first joint project.
