We look forward to attending the Molyvos International Music Festival on the island of Lesbos, presenting the Orchestra of the Deutschen Oper Berlin at the Ravello Festival, and travelling with musicAeterna, Europa Galante and Freiburg Baroque Orchestra to the Musikfest Bremen. Kremerata Baltica offers a multimedia concert expreience at the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival and La Folia Barockorchester Dresden invites the audience to the circus as part of the Musikfest Erzgebirge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Molyvos International Music Festival (MIMF)&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Between 16 and 19 August, the Molyvos International Music Festival (MIMF) transforms the magical old town of Molyvos, located in northern Lesbos, into a musical center of international chamber music. Under the motto &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/andreasrichter.berlin\/das-molyvos-international-music-festival-2018\/\">Genesis<\/a>&#8221; , festival founders Danae and Kiveli D\u00f6rken will bring together around 20 musicians from all over the world, who will gather to form exclusive ensembles during this time and perform in various formations at Molyvos Castle and at selected venues in the Old Town. In addition to the two pianists, Lars Vogt, Benedict Kl\u00f6ckner, Sebastian Manz, Maximilian Hornung und Sarah Christian will also perform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>16 \u2013 19&nbsp; August 2018, Molyvos International Music Festival, Molyvos<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8 \u2013 12 August 2018, Preactivities in different venues on the island of Lesbos<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ravello Festival<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maintaining the tradition of Wagnerian performance practice is an important cornerstone in the artistic profile of the Deutsche Oper. Numerous recordings and performances, as well as the fact that many orchestral members perform every summer in the orchestra of the Bayreuth Festival, bear impressive testimony to this. The&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ravellofestival.com\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ravello Festival<\/a> is also closely linked to the composer: in memory of Wagner\u2019s stay in this city of the arts in 1880, the festival was founded in 1952 as an annual homage to the composer and his epochal body of work. With an all Wagner program, the Orchestra of the Deutsche Oper Berlin will present the final concert of this year\u2019s festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Donald Runnicles (conductor) \/&nbsp; Allison Oakes (soprano) \/&nbsp; Annika Schlicht (mezzo-soprano) \/ Attilio Glaser (tenor) \/ Thomas Lehman (baritone)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>25&nbsp; August 2018, Ravello Festival 2018, Belvedere di Villa Rufolo<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Musikfest Bremen<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>or almost 30 years now, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.musikfest-bremen.de\/en\/start\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Musikfest Bremen<\/a> has presented a program that is as varied as it is qualitatively outstanding, presenting operas, symphonic music, choral concerts, chamber music and solo evenings alongside experimental music, jazz and world music, featuring performers whose individual interpretations \u2013 whether traditionally or contemporary \u2013 consistently captivate audiences. The music festival opens with &#8220;Eine gro\u00dfe Nachtmusik&#8221; ( &#8220;A Great Night Music&#8221; at various venues around the Bremen market square. The symphonic highlight of the opening evening will be <a href=\"http:\/\/www.teodor-currentzis.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Teodor Currentzis<\/a> and musicAeterna performing the three Beethoven Symphonies Nos. 5, 6 and 7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After their great success at the Music Festival Opening in 2016, Europa Galante and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.europagalante.com\/fabio-biondi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fabio Biondi<\/a> return to Bemen with two concert programs: On September 11, the Early Music specialists trace the steps of musical<a href=\"https:\/\/www.musikfest-bremen.de\/en\/whats-on\/all-events\/reisende-musiker-in-europa\/show\/Event\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> European Migrants<\/a> during the Baroque period; on September 15, they will present Rossini\u2019s late masterpiece <a href=\"https:\/\/www.musikfest-bremen.de\/en\/26th-musikfest\/venues\/venues\/st-petri-dom\/show\/Location\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Petite Messe solennelle<\/a> in the St. Petri Dom. Handel: \u201cIl trionfo del tempo e del disinganno\u201d HWV 46aa<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kremeratabaltica.com\/home\/gidon-kremer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gidon Kremer<\/a> has always been open to experiments, and he is bringing a typically innovative and exciting project to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.shmf.de\/en\/veranstaltung\/gidon-kremer-390\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival. <\/a>Kremer will perform with his ensemble Kremerata Baltica in a program where works for violin and orchestra by Robert Schumann and Karlheinz Stockhausen meet the pebble sculptures of&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/syriancreativehavens.com\/portfolio\/syrian-artist-nizar-ali-badr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nazir Ali Badr<\/a> and the multimedia art of Sandro Kancheli.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>14 and 15 August 2018, Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival \u2013 Robert Schumann: Fugues on B.A.C.H. op. 60, Nos. 4, 5 and 6 (version for strings by Paul Angerer) \/ Violin Concerto in A minor after the Cello Concerto op. 129 (arr.Ren\u00e9 Koering) \/ \u201cImages d\u2019Orient\u201dproject with visuals\u201d: Robert Schumann: \u201cBilder aus Osten\u201d, op. 66 (arr. Friedrich Herrmann) and Karlheinz Stockhausen (1928-2007)&nbsp;Melodies from \u201cZodiac\u201d (arr. Andrei Pushkarev) to be performed with images of stone art by Nizar Ali Badr, animation by Sandro Kancheli, with the participation of Gidon Kremer and Kremerata Baltica<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Musikfest Erzgebirge<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To this day, the circus exerts a unique fascination on people of all ages. The combination of acrobatic artistry, trained animals and clowns, along with mystery, slapstick and magic also make him a longing in the digital age \u2013 a place of longing that, like so many others, would be unimaginable without music. At this year\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.musikfest-erzgebirge.de\/barocke-circustraeume\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Musikfest Erzgebirge<\/a>, the La Folia Barockorchester Dresden sets out to present the circus in as original a form as possible, combining the late baroque sound world of the 18th century with a sophisticated artistry program of circus artistry in a mirrored tent in the historic market place of Annaberg-Buchholz in a mirrored tent. The program, by Director Tim Schneider and the Musical Director <a href=\"http:\/\/lafoliabarockorchester.net\/director\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Robin Peter M\u00fcller<\/a>, will be presented two times performances a day between 7 and 11 September, with the premiere on 6 September opening the Musikfest Erzgebirge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6 \u2013 11 September 2018, Musikfest Erzgebirge \u2013 \u201cBarocke Zirkustr\u00e4ume\u201d with works by G.
